A trip to Caitlins

Hello Room 8
Caitlin and I biked home from school on Tuesday, but that's not all. Soon as we got home we had bounces on the tramp. It was getting a little too hot outside so we came inside and had a drink and some afternoon tea. I was really lucky because I got a piece of chocolate and caramel slice, which was really yum! At 4pm I was excited because we were going horse riding. I rode Bugsy behind Caitlin. Caitlin's Mum took photos of me. I saw Rachel and William there. After 1 hour we got hot and sweaty. Caitlin's Mum unpacked and was cooking lasagne and we watched Garfield on TV. My favourite part was when Jhon was in bed and Garfield jumped on him, then he woke him up. We went to bed at 8pm and slept till morning. Caitlin put me under a flannel in a shoe box to sleep. On Wednesday I heard we were going swimming at the aquatic center. Before we went to bed Caitlin asked me why I don't wear any clothes. I told her it was because I was a bird. She made some clothes for me. On Friday I had boysenberry jam on my toast for breakfast. We got dressed and walked to school. We really had fun. After school we went to the pool and played till 6pm. Caitlin and I were in the spa first. We found a ball and played till her Mum told us to get out.

In the Army

We rode the bus to Alyssa's house, then Seth's mom picked us up and took us home. Seth got all dressed up in army gear and played army outside. It was raining, so I watched from the porch. When Seth's mom called him in, we did his homework. Then it was off to bed!

A New Calf

Today, I got to go home with a girl named Laura. My favorite part of the day was seeing a calf being born. It was fun! Laura, her brother, and I went to go feed the cows. When we were feeding them, we all saw a cow lying on the ground and saw two small hooves hanging out. We waited and waited until the calf came out. It was very small and wet.

Then we went home and Laura did her homework. At bedtime, her mom read to us and prayed. After the lights were turned out, Laura turned on some music. I looked up and saw some stars on her ceiling. Finally, Laura and I fell fast asleep and dreamed happy dreams!

I hope you all are well,
Love,

Peter's place

Hi again,
It's me Cardinal. Well today I am visiting Peter. Peter took a photo of me sitting on his tennis racket when we went to tennis lessons.
At Peters house I had my picture taken in his sister Sarah's toy pram.
The next day I went on a bike ride and left at 6:45 in the morning, then we got ready for school. It was quite boring at school because there was no one in Room 9.
I am away to camp at Bethany with the children tomorrow so I need lots of sleep tonight.

Good Bye.

Girl Scouts and More

Taylor took me into the cafeteria after school. "Girl Scouts," she said. They do activities and sell cookies to raise money to do more activities. When all the girls came in, Taylor set me down on the table. They started running around and playing tag. They ate cookies with green sprinkles on them and drank strawberry-kiwi or strawberry-banana juice. Then they played animal tag. Someone is IT. She tries to tag you, but if you don't want to get tagged, you squat down and say an animal. Like monkey, moose, or ferret! It was fun to watch.

After Scouts, Taylor went with her friend Delanie to basketball practice. Taylor made some awesome shots! They divided into two teams and played a game. Taylor's team won. Yahoo!

Then, we went to Delanie's house and played for hours. We spent the night.

The next day, Taylor's mom picked us up. When we got to her house, Taylor's grandpa was there babysitting Taylor's little sisters. Rhiley is 8, Abby is 6, and Olivia is 5. Grandpa had bought gifts for everyone. Taylor got two of My Littlest Petshop Animals; a fish and a cat. They are little animals with wobbly heads. Taylor has over 40 of them.

Later, we went upstairs to Taylor's room, which she shares with all three of her little sisters. She did her homework.

The next day, we got up early for a basketball game. I was excited! As we were driving in the car, Taylor showed me the Columbia River. Taylor's team won the game 20-9. Taylor scored half the points. Since each shot counts for two points, that means that Taylor made five shots. Taylor's aunt was at the game with her baby named Korbin, who is only a few months old. Taylor was so happy that she won!

Today, Taylor sat with me on her colorful bed. She said that it was our last day together. I wonder who I will go with tomorrow?

Cardinal hangs out with Lydia

Hi Room 8
I had a fantastic time with Lydia. We went for a swim in the river and it was so hot that we had an ice cream. We went to her Nana's house to have tea, because it was her birthday. For tea we had pizza and I had a little piece too. On the way home we played eye spy. I said, " I spy with my little eye something beginning with l. It was lollipop because we got a lollipop from her Nana. My flavour was Strawberry.
Next Lydia showed me her new helmet and it is so cool. Lydia rode her bike and I sat on her shoulder and the wind nearly blew me off, but I quickly held on to Lydia's ear. Lydia said, "Ow, that hurt", because I pulled it very hard.
Then Lydia brushed her teeth and then she made me a bed and we went straight to sleep.

Thanks Lydia

On to Leila's House

Leila could not pick me up from Nathan's house until Saturday, because she had a lot to do. Leila's mom and sister were going on a horseback ride if the weather was nice. "No fair," I thought, and then I heard Leila's mom making breakfast. Maybe it's not so bad anymore!

Visit with Nathan

I went with Nathan to his wrestling clinic. Some of the high school team members were coaching the younger kids. There was a tournament on Thursday.

After we left, we went to the grange. Nathan had a donut. Then when we got home, Nathan's sister said that I was adorable.
